Welcome to St John’s College
St John’s College is a vibrant and inclusive Catholic coeducational secondary school, providing quality education for approximately 940 students from Years 7 to 12. Proudly serving the Nambour and wider Sunshine Coast community for over 85 years, the College has a rich tradition of academic achievement, high expectations, cultural excellence, sporting success and community service.
Guided by our Catholic faith and Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition, St John’s College is committed to nurturing young people who are respectful, responsible, resilient and compassionate. Our dedicated and experienced staff foster a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment where every student is known, valued and encouraged to achieve their personal best.
At St John’s, we believe education extends beyond the classroom. Through high-quality teaching, meaningful relationships and a diverse range of learning and co-curricular opportunities, we inspire students to develop their individual gifts, embrace challenges and make a positive contribution to the world around them.
Our commitment is to provide an exceptional contemporary Catholic education, grounded in Gospel values, where students experience a genuine sense of belonging, are challenged to achieve their potential and are empowered to live fulfilling, purposeful lives. Inspired by the words of Jesus, “Unbind him, and let him go” (John 11:44), our College motto, “Unbind and Set Free”, reflects our commitment to helping every young person overcome the barriers that may hold them back, discover their unique gifts and realise their full potential.
We warmly welcome you to discover the St John’s College community, where every young person is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.
